Information for Potential Reviewers

HR welcomes new reviewers. Book reviewing is a traditional part of librarians' service or research mission.
Reviewers may either volunteer to become a reviewer by sending a vitae to the editor along with a brief note indicating what subjects you are interested in reviewing. Please also send us a brief autobiographical note for our ABOUT THE REVIEWERS section. We will send you any books eventually sent to us by publishers. If we receive something in your area we will e-mail you to see if you have time to review the book, and if you have any connection with the author.

We also warmly welcome unsolicited reviews from librarians or LIS students, especially those living outside of Hawaii. Unsolicited reviews are helpful in areas where we do not have a connection with any publishers. In order to strive for some level objectivity, we ask you not to review any item that you are somehow connected with. Unsolicited reviews should follow the same guidelines, and be accompanied by a brief autobiographical note for our ABOUT THE REVIEWERS section.

HR is interested in promoting publishing and micropublishing in the Pacific. We appreciate your help in making this a valuable resource.
